La Salle News Tribune: Local congressman: 'No collusion' and it's time to move on
Congressman Kinzinger responds to conclusion of the Special Counsel report by Bob Mueller.
U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger became active on Twitter on Sunday in the wake of a summary of Robert Mueller's report on the investigation of Russian meddling into the 2016 presidential election indicating that no collusion or criminal involvement by Donald Trump or his family.
"The Special Counsel’s report is GOOD NEWS -- it’s good for our democracy and the integrity of our elections, and it’s good for our country to have this issue resolved and put firmly behind us," Kinzinger, a Channahon Republican whose district includes the Illinois Valley, Tweeted.
He followed that up with: "No collusion, no coordination, no reason for Congressional Democrats to keep up this divisive and outrageous attempts to mislead Americans and discredit the President of the United States."
And finally: "Now, it’s time for us to move forward as a nation and return our focus to the important issues facing the American people today."
