La Salle News Tribune: Kinzinger named vice chair of subcommittee
U.S. Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.) recently announced new subcommittee leadership assignments for the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), whose 16th District includes La Salle, Bureau and Putnam counties, was named the new vice chairman of the Subcommittee on Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection.
In response, Kinzinger released the following statement:
“I’m honored to take on this role … and I look forward to working with chairman Bob Latta (R-Ohio) as we work on issues surrounding interstate and foreign commerce, such as manufactured goods and trade.
“Manufacturing is the backbone of economic growth in my district and across the country. Our subcommittee tackles the issues facing our manufacturers, our farmers, and our small businesses through technological advances, safety procedures, consumer protections and various trade issues. I’m proud to take on this new role and excited to advocate for the issues that matter to the people of IL-16, and our economy.”
